Young "Pups" Dominate Youth League
Highlighted by the 6th grade varsity championship, youth football places 4 teams in TRYFL football championship.
If this weekend's championship tourney in Milaca is any indication of the future for Bulldog football, the winning tradition should continue. The Becker 6th graders won the TRYFL varsity championship for the second time in three years. The Becker #3 "Pitbulls" defeated Zimmerman 19-7 in a game filled with big hits and key turnovers.
In the 4th-5th Grade JV upper bracket, two Becker teams took 2nd and 3rd respectively. Going into the championship game the Becker #2 Dawgs were undefeated but fell short to Monticello #4 12-0. While the Becker #4 Bulldogs threw a last second touchdown to beat Monticello #1 team 19-12 for third place.
In the lower consolation 4th-5th Grade bracket Becker #3 defeated Monticello #6 25-19 for the consolation championship.
